The thing about people like Axe is that the internet and internet porn was already well established by the time they were born. It's not like in past eras where people were already well into adulthood when they saw their first porno. It also wasn't anywhere near as accessible. You would have to go out to an adult store, covering your face to buy a random VHS porn. It was like climbing Mount Fuji compared to today.

The amount of porn stars that Axe is aware by name probably goes into the thousands. And again, that's because of the era. Could anyone even name one porno star back in the 90s? No. How would they ever know?
