Lebron James - 4 time mvp ( most finals losses by an mvp winner )
Barry Bonds - 7 time mvp ( 0 rings, caught cheating )
Even though he has 0 rings, Barry Bonds is the home run KING. Almost any MLB player would trade a ring for that.
Steve Nash: He barely beat Shaq for MVP in 2005. If Billups got more MVP votes in 2006, he would be a candidate along with LeBron/Kobe/Dirk.
LeBron: Athletic freak who has made some mistakes in the playoffs.
Everyone else: MVP is a popularity contest,

Probably the funniest thing about this is Kenny saying Nash 0 finals appearances, Lebron most finals losses...like that matters. The MVP IS A REGULAR SEASON AWARD...what happens in the playoffs after it has no bearing at all.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw that Kenneth started this thread was that it would have something to do with LeBron, and I was not disappointed

Barry Bonds is the GOAT
When Ruth played you could only win MVP once.

the problem is ... in baseball the media will give a guy mvp votes 1 year cause hes got a better team. then the next year they say teams dont matter
bonds is historically known as a guy who played on bad teams
its easier to put up huge numbers when theres no pressure to win
this year josh donaldson will win mvp due to the blue jays record... even trout is 2nd due to the angles having a good record...
while nelson cruz has the best stats.. a much better average with more homeruns ... but his team sucks
where his bonds esq mvp?

When you play on a bad team you have to put up historic numbers to win MVP (see: ARod).
Bonds played on plenty of great squads, it's just impossible for one player to carry a baseball team to a championship.
And how good your team is has NOTHING to do with individual hitting numbers in baseball. I've never even heard anyone insinuate that until right now. If anything, on a bad squad he'd be easier to pitch around. He put up massive homerun numbers even though he got less pitches to hit than any other player.

On April 13, 2011, Bonds was convicted of one felony count of obstruction of justice for giving an incomplete answer to a question in grand jury testimony. A mistrial was declared on the remaining three counts of perjury, and those charges were dropped.[1] The obstruction of justice conviction was upheld by an appellate panel in 2013, but a larger panel of the appellate court overturned the conviction in 2015.[2]

BALCO scandal[edit]
In 2003, Barry Bonds became embroiled in a scandal when Greg Anderson of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative (BALCO), Bonds' trainer since 2000, was indicted by a federal grand jury in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and charged with supplying anabolic steroids to athletes, including a number of baseball players. This led to speculation that Bonds had used performance-enhancing drugs during a time when there was no mandatory testing in Major League Baseball. Bonds declared his innocence, attributing his changed physique and increased power to a strict regimen of bodybuilding, diet and legitimate supplements.
During grand jury testimony on December 4, 2003, Bonds said that he used a clear substance and a cream that he received from his personal strength trainer, Greg Anderson, who told him they were the nutritional supplement flaxseed oil and a rubbing balm for arthritis.[3] This testimony was released to the San Francisco Chronicle by Troy Ellerman, a defense lawyer for Victor Conte. (Ellerman pleaded guilty to disclosing sealed grand jury testimony on February 14, 2007). Later reports on Bonds
