Likely not far. Kobe has never been good at carrying untalented teams, at least not when compared to Lebron. Lebron basically dragged Kobe's 2006 Lakers to within 2 wins of a Championship this past postseason.

That's why modern defenses are so tough. A simple isolation is stuffed, it takes a miraculous effort to score. Beating the initial defender might be a little easier, but the lane will always been preemptively congested.

A 15 point deficit is NOTHING in the NBA. A real leader would have kept fighting and inspired his teammates to join the fight with him. Instead Baldbe decided to quit at the first sign of adversity, and his team quickly followed suit.
