Let's Talks Numbers
Why Does Curry Take So Many "End of the Quarter" Shots?
Is it because he literally isn't tracking or paying any attention to his FG%?
Does he care how he's perceived if he misses?
Does he have the supreme confidence in his ability to make it on a consistent basis?
Why do other players use this opportunity to protect their FG% by shooting the shot afterward the time expires?
What does ISH think?

Because he is the most alpha player in the league. He has no fear about the missed shots, and supreme confidence that he will make it, which he backs up with good percentages.

Because those shots aren't that difficult for him. For most players it's a luck shot but Steph practices ridiculously long jumpers all the time, if it's around half court or in there's a great chance he's making it. His range is not normal.
He also doesn't play for %s if it wasn't obvious already with the rest of his shot selection..

Re: Why Does Curry Take So Many "End of the Quarter" Shots?
He's phenomenal at end-of-quarter type shots, has unprecedented range, and more importantly, isn't a pvssy who cares about his FG%.

he doesn't care about his FG% and he still manages to shoot 50% overall. He is just that good.
Certain other players on the other hand..... only takes layups.

All but the last part applies to Kobe over his career as well. Now I can see why Kobe stans went over to Curry. He's an ideal version of Kobe.

It's because he practices those shots and he's probably the best in the NBA at them.

Better question would be how does he MAKE so many "end of quarter" shots? I swear he makes at least one every other game

Because he and kobe challenge their selves. They knew that the tougher shots they could make, the more prepared they are against the best of the best. It may sacrifice them their stats, but in the long run, it will help them win rings. Thats why they are winners while the statpadders are losers
