That was start of 2006/07 season when Kobe came off knee surgery and was barely shooting the ball to start off the year, was averaging like 19 shots a game going into the Miami one...
for comparison he was shooting 28 times a game and averaging 38 points a game the last two months of the season
fun fact, Lakers were 19 - 9 with Kwame starting, 22 - 31 with Bynum in his place

40 points, 11 asts, 4 stls, 4blks 60% fg while holding peak Kobe to 4/17, 16 points and with no SNAQ!
Just absolute destruction! This was peak Wade, Pat Riley's inexplicable decision to hold on to the cadevers of SNAQ, Payton, Mourning and Antoine Walker FUCCED Wade's peak. If Riley would come off that cheesy loyalty bullcrap he loves selling we could have gotten some GREAT pieces for SNAQ.
At this point a lot of dumb ass GMs and pundits like that cretin Barkeley held the opinion that SNAQ was the primary reason for the Heat winning in 06
We could have had some dumb teams entire roster for that fat pos
I'm not sure I agree with the bolded, as most people were calling Wade's 2006 finals one of the greatest of all time. It was clear by the 2005 playoffs that Wade had surpassed Shaq as the Heat's most important player. The Heat were only going as far as Wade took them. Except for a for contrarian idiots like Barkley, everyone acknowledged that Wade was the Heat's best player and the primary reason for the title. In fact, Shaq was 0-6 in the playoffs when Wade was out or playing injured, including a 30 point beat down with a trip to the finals at stake. In contrast Wade was 2-0 in the playoffs without Shaq and won several other games when Shaq was less than 100%.
As for that Christmas day performance, it was certainly amazing but rather run of the mill for Wade that season (save for being against Kobe). He was arguably the best player in the world up until the shoulder injury, averaging 29/8/6 on 50% with a 30+PER.

Only with Kobe Bryant could you say "barely shooting the ball" when taking 19 shots a game.

Kobe doesn't care about regular season like LeBron. That's why he has 5 chips and lebron only has 2. Wade only has 3. You focus in stupid games that have no consequence and Kobe focuses on playoffs.

I thought 2008-2009 was considered Wade's peak year?
per 100 possessions:
2006: 37.0/7.8/9.1 on 51.3/17.1/78.3
2009: 41.8/7.0/10.3 on 52.4/31.7/76.5
He scored more, assisted more, and shot much better from downtown.

This was the 06-07 season, just after he won the chip. It would be considered his peak if he didn't get injured by Battier. The numbers he was putting up were crazy-good, and he just kept getting better as the season went on.
As i said: f*ck Battier.

Shane Battier, as cheap as he is, was the best perimeter defender on a few of your title teams..
Show some respect.
