Default Does Anyone Else Get The Feeling

That this just isn't going to work? At this point of the season you can usually tell what you're team is going to do. We have a losing record with 3 of the best bigs in the game. I really think the Pistons have to think about moving Smith. It certainly hasn't helped that Stuckey has been injured so much. He's honestly been Detroit's best scorer. I really like what he's done, but every year he's missed quite a few games. That doesn't help this team get into the playoffs. I never really wanted to lose Stuckey, but I would think a package with him and Smith could bring back a pretty good player and someone who will mesh better. I really haven't given much thought as to who that would be, but we were supposed to make the playoffs this year. I really wish we just didn't sign Smith and gave some guys a 1 year deal and then we ended up in the high lottery at this point. Then Charlotte wouldn't get our pick and we'd have a really good young team. As it stands now we're going to give them a heckuva good draft pick.

Yeah I will cry if somehow the bobcats got lucky with moving up in the draft on our pick and ended up drafting one of Wiggy / Parker / Randle / Exum / Smart / Embiid / Lavine / Young ...

But yes, I am a little bit sold on Jennings - I think he could be a great piece for us moving forward he obviously has great chemistry with Moose and Dre - putting up 17.5 / 8.5 as a 24 year old... I can see this working long term

But Smith - I can't see this working at all - we need to move him for a complimentry piece for Moose and Dre - someone who can defend and shoot. Batum / Leonard / Deng / Green / Gallinari

I am super happy having a defensive specialist in KCP as our starting 2 moving forward. His offense looked great yesterday 17 points in the first half...

At least the Bobcats can't draft one of those guys with our pick. It's protected this year. Top 13 I think.

Yea I must say Jennings has grown on me. He has played a lot less selfishly and doesn't really look to get his offense going until the end of the game or if needed during the middle parts.

Smith...man. I just keep thinking what if we got Iggy. WHAT IF WE GOT IGGY.

I would love a move of Smith for Deng.

I really like Deng's game, but the problem is he can never play an entire season. He's not getting any younger either so I would think that would continue to add up. Smith > Deng, even though Smith may not be the fit for this team.

^^ Deng is the same age as Smith and a better SF than Smith not to mention would be a much better fit in our system than Smith. Smith might be the better "talent" but what use is that talent if it isn't being put to effective use...

I don't want Deng on a long term expensive contract. That one will be tough at the end of it. That wouldn't make the Pistons contenders so I don't see the sense in making it just for the heck of it. I actually think in a lot of ways that deal would help Chicago more and they would just stay in front of us in the division.
