The "Kobe Video Guys" are charging 1.99 to watch their vid? are they dumb?

They're expecting 6 figure digits from this little business endeavor. Isn't this just going to get youtubed right away? Are they this dumb?

In a perfect example of wanting to have their cake and eating it too, they will not show the video to their customers until they reach the designated threshold of 50,000 orders to recoup the $100,000 private party offer they turned down. If the threshold is not met, they say they will refund all their orders and sell it to the private party, who sounds just dumb enough to buy it again despite the contents of the footage already being public.

Dunno bout the "refunds" though.

Not only that, but the entire media industry is offended at how tabloid and mercenary the Kobe Video Guys been about it. Even though this type of thing happens behind closed doors all the time, when it's out in the open like this, the media has to frown on it lest they be seen for what they truly are: sensationalists. They're never going to sell 50,000 copies of a 20 second video clip filled with things people already know. And if they decide to drop their little 50,000 deposit thing, the first people who download it will upload it on YouTube and they won't make a damn thing.

That's the way it should be, too.
