Default Rajon Rondo Lakers return date: Any day now

The Lakers may have Rajon Rondo in action as early as tomorrow.

And if not tomorrow, any day now.

The Lakers at 7-1 have the best record in the Western conference as of right now. And tied for league best with the 7-1 Celtics.

Rondo is the floor general the Lakers have been missing in the starting unit. He adds another playmaker alongside LeBron in the starting lineup so LeBron doesn't have to bring the ball up the court 36mins a night.

When Rondo returns, expect Vogel to run a lineup of:

    PG: Rondo | Caruso
    SG: Pope | Daniels
    SF: James | Green
    PF: Davis | Kuzma
    C: Howard | McGee

Really don't like Rondo on this team...especially with Lebron out there.

Maybe if he's used exclusively when Lebron isn't on the floor it could be decent.

Uh did you not see what Rondo did with AD in New Orleans? Playing Rondo alongside AD and LeBron at the end of games is their highest basketball IQ lineup. It's a no brainier.

I'm fine with Rondo/AD...I think that makes sense.

Did you not see what Rondo did next to Lebron last year? They were terrible o the court together. Doesn't make sense really on any level unless Rondo can hit open 3's and defend...

Two things he likely won't be doing.

Check Rondo's 3pt percentage last season. Rondo is a much better defender than LeBron last season. If anyone needs to play defense, it's LeBron. Let's not put LeBron's failure to lead the Lakers to the playoffs on Rondo now.

Lakers can survive if they keep Rondo to be PG of the second unit and play him like 15mpg...

Lakers can thrive if they keep Rondo to be PG of the first unit and play him like 30mpg...
