Go for Phoenix or New Orleans. Phoenix if you like an exciting, underdog team without a star, or New Orleans if you want a star on the team. Don't root for Portland, the fans won't accept you as one of their own.

So the Celtics were never a Nets rival? Is that what you're telling me?
Pierce leading a 20+ pt comeback in the 4th quarter of a playoff game?
Too young for even the Jason Kidd Nets era

Lol yea I was too young for the Jason Kidd nets era but my name has JKidd in it. You can't call it a rivalry if the Nets swept them, kind of like what they did to the Knicks. Honestly, Knicks trolls are the worst, they're trolling attempts aren't even clever, all they do is show their ignorance.

Root for a young team on the rise. IDK how people have a 2nd team, but when that team succeeds it will mean more to you rather than becoming a Heat fan in the year they may 3-peat.

You're a heat fan. Your team was lucky enough to draft a loyal first ballot hall of famer. The best player the Nets ever drafted was that crackhead Kenyon Martin. After VC was traded it all went to shit for the Nets and they haven't had a player that you can really get behind and support since. Heat fans haven't had a reason to watch other teams since their first few years in the league. This Nets team is cocky, lackadaisical, soft, lazy and they haven't given their all into a game since the second game of the season. Tell me, how can you support a group of players that doesn't even try?

-NBA finals guaranteed... I don't think I need to explain why that's setting yourself up for disappointment.
Obviously I was just over-exaggerating to show my confidence in this team with the position they're in. Nothing's truly "guaranteed". But they do have a huge chance to do big things if they continue to make good moves and the young players continue to develop at the rate they already are. Archie Goodwin is already looking like he has possible star potential when he's on the court, all he needs to do is develop. He's only 19 years old. If he can develop into his potential, that will be huge. And they do have the cap space to sign a max contract player and the plethora of first round draft picks to trade up to a high lottery pick or trade for a really good player.
Even if they keep all 4 draft picks and just develop them, what are the chances that they're not going to find a gem with that many picks in supposedly the greatest NBA draft in many years? You can't argue that this team isn't set up well for the future. If they're already 17-10 in the tough Western Conference with Bledsoe's first year starting, Archie Goodwin's first year in the league, Jeff Hornacek's first year as a head coach, and Ryan McDonough's first year as a GM, then imagine how they'll be once they get experience and develop and possibly add more good players to the roster.
