Irving still hasn't played a single game and lots of key players(Shumpert, Mozgov, Mo Williams etc) are injured and the Cavaliers are atop the East standing. Though Kevin Love has been putting up sound stats he still cannot play defense that the coach has to sit him for the entire 4th quarter time to time. How Lebron takes those borderline NBA players and makes the team contend regardless of the players that he is surrounded with is beyond me and tells you how complete of a player that he is. No doubt that Curry will take the MVP trophy this season again but what Lebron has been doing also deserves some recognition.

In today's league alone, Westbrook, Klay Thompson, Demar Derozan, Lamarcus Aldridge, Pau Gasol, CJ McCollum, Chris Bosh, Andre Drummond, Chris Paul, Marc Gasol, Vucevic are all better 2nd options than Love.
