Only thing Kobe and Jordan have on Lebron is mid range shooting, a skill which is kinda outdated in the current 3 point era.

His style of play used to be running over people like bowling pins in the paint and throwing up a shot to get free throws. His style also used to be chasing people down on the fast break and blocking shots. He's changed those so far ( or can't do them anymore ). He still dunks. When you get old, shit happens. All it takes is a bad landing. Chances are he won't retire injury free. Time will tell what type of injury it will be or how it will change his game. It happens to everyone, it will happen to Lebron. We'll see if he will still be effective after. If he does make it to 7 more years, he'll be role player and a shell.

Lebron's career resume is already Top-10 worthy.

4 MVPs, 2 rings, 2 FMVPs, a scoring title, all defensive teams, first-team all-NBA selections. You name it, he's done it.

You would be hard-pressed to find 10 other players in NBA history that have accomplished what he has.

Exactly. Lebron knows his limits and doesn't try to play like he's still 22. Everyone does get injured, but acting like it is guaranteed to happen in the next 3 years is silly. Karl Malone didn't start suffering serious injuries until his last season in the NBA, 19 years in. If Malone could last that long there is no reason to believe Lebron won't.

Bron plays the right way. When he's exhausted, he listens to his body.

When he was cramping, he would ask his coach to take him out of the game to avoid detriment to his team

Right, but all I'm saying is the mileage he put on his body while he "was" doing those things will most likely impact the type of injury he may have. He's changed them now, but you can't undo 10+ years of wear and tear just because you change your play style.

I would agree with you on this in say 2008, but his skill has improved a lot over the last few years, especially in Miami. His jumper is much better, his post game, his off ball play is all much more solid than it used to be when he was pure athleticism. Look at him earlier this year. He was clearly a shell of himself athletically due to injuries, but was still putting up like 26/7/5 or so. He'll probably be a 26/5/5 minimum player for 3 or 4 more years, and then he'll probably be more like 18/7/4 when he's lost his athleticism. His passing game will help him be a very effective player when he's old.

    MJ
    KAJ
    Magic
    Bird
    Russell
    Duncan
    Kobe
    Shaq

8 then you have Bran/Wilt/Hakeem so he's already arguably top 10

Duncan and Pierce might reach the top 10 before Lebron does. Obviously Lebron will eventually overtake them, but they might stay ahead of him next year.
