Honestly, even Mardy Collins was a better backup to Baron than Telfair. Watching Bassy reminded me of when Rick Brunson started like 50 games a couple years back. I was hoping we'd dump Bassy & sign Shaun.

I won't be shocked if Outlaw isn't flipped to another team. Outlaw for Roger Mason?

He's a weakside shot blocker, and rebounder... I don't get it. (Before people say I've never seen him play, yeah I have... Since he was on the Knicks in 98.)
A veteran who puts in effort, doesn't complain nor take touches away on the offensive end. Pretty hard to find.

I expect and hope Craig Smith starts, not DJ.

That's what I was thinking. I mean, do they really expect Blake or Outlaw to re-sign with them? Basically its trading an expiring deal for an expiring deal. A few picks would have been nice

Re: Ric Bucher: Camby to Portland is DONE DEAL
i find it funny that Camby is only a year younger than Howard.
but it good for Roy to have a rebounder and a shot blocker again.

Re: Ric Bucher: Camby to Portland is DONE DEAL
evidently portland thinks there's still room on the injured reserve list for one more...

FWIW - I'm told no deal at this time between Clippers/
Blazers. That doesn't mean there won't be 1 tomorrow - but it's premature

Given the fact that Juwan Howard is the Blazers staring center, Camby looks like Dwight Howard.
He is a true professional. Plays his heart out. I have watched him as a Clipp and he is the guy who always makes that extra effort to get the loose ball. And at his age and height, that's a rare commodity. Sure he has his weaknesses as all players do, but he is a very very good rebounder and plays with heart. Blazers should be ecstatic to have picked him up

watch aldridge's game pick up a lot more than it has already. camby is gonna teach this fool how to rebound and defend better.

Camby will help them in the long run. Even when they do happen to get most of their players back in Portland.

I can see that, and it is rare for a guy to play like he does... Especially since he will fill a huge void in Portland right now. But people seem to talk about him like he's a serious game changer.
I know he could bring a contender over the top with his hustle, but I feel like people cream about him a little too much. I don't know, maybe I just have some lingering bad taste of the Knicks team losing to the Spurs in 99.

I'd be happy to simply see the rebounding aspect. For a guy of his size and length, he is far too inconsistent on the glass.

Along with 4.5 fouls per.
Like I said, I hope this opens more time for Rhino as well.
