The ones in the top 10 listed above Bron.

Re: How many players can turn 33 win teams into champions?
Both Kareem & Bird turned around terrible teams into champions in 2 years as well
1969 Bucks: 27 wins
1970: Kareem drafted
1971: Champs
1979 Celtics: 29 wins
1980: Bird drafted
1981: Champs

I cant really believe how they won that title with Sophomore Bird and apparently not many other changes (even if its the same players, just getting better), with Bird dropping consecutive 8 pt games in the finals n what not.. Lakers fcked up that year

Bird was drafted in 1978, but didn't play his first game for Boston until the 79-80 season.

2 best examples of this and why they got big mvp consideration or even won MVP even if they weren't really the best player in the league are Nash and Kidd.
2001 Nets: 26 wins
2002 Nets: 52 wins
2004 Suns: 29 wins
2005 Suns: 62 wins

True, but Stoudemire played 25 more games from '04 to '05, and they added Richardson who averaged 15/6 and made three 3s per game... so that helped a lot.
I'm sure there were some changes on the Nets besides Kidd, too.

yep I agree. For the Nets Kittles came back from injury, they drafted RJ, and kenyon got better. Still, the narrative was enough to get them real MVP consideration(not saying they weren't great either ofc).

Re: How many players can turn 33 win teams into champions?
Duncan turned a 20 win team into a 57 win team in his first season and champions in his second.

J-Kidd transformed the culture much like bron did.. except he had nowhere near the pieces.. kyrie alone wouldve been a god send on those Nets teams as direct, individual scoring was their biggest weakness. And Bron has always been a bigger jason kidd anyway.

Re: How many players can turn 33 win teams into champions?
Better rephrase this OP, how many people can turn a 33 win team into a championship team while crushing the best regular season team of all time without homecourt advantage while being down 3-1 within 2 years of returning?

That was really a fluke season though, Robinson played in 6 games all year, and the Spurs had made the playoffs 7 years in a row before that season
