Melo is the type of player that puts up great numbers and looks great in the box score, but when you watch him play, you realize how that's he's just a guy who's out to get his and that he doesn't make his teammates better.

AI wasn't even on the Nuggets team who made the Conference Finals and Billups while was the leader and a very important piece, wasn't the best player. Melo was.

How is Melo overrated? As of now, I think he's the 4th best SF in the world. Behind Bron, Durant, and George. And for many years, he's been a FIRM LOCK in that same top 4 SF neighborhood. And at times a top 10 player in the world. The difference between Melo and the other 3 SF's I named are the all around aspects. Even Durant over time has developed into a VERY GOOD ALL AROUND PLAYER. Capable of getting 30 pts, 8 boards, and 5 dimes in a season.

And to be frank, I don't think Melo is selfish or a bad teammate. He's just an ALPHA DOG scoring machine who ALSO rebounds his position well. Maybe he's not MEANT to be an elite defender or passer. Coming out of Cuse, the book on Melo was ONE DAY he could have the best scoring skillset among forwards in the NBA. Historically speaking, I think Melo has a top 5 scoring skillset of all time at the SF.

Right there with Bird, Durant, Barry, and Pierce. So how can he be OVERRATED if he lived up to that billing! And has the scoring numbers and accolades to back it up. He was projected to be a Bernard King-Adrian Dantley style SF. He was NEVER projected to be a Bird, Bron, or Pippen style SF.
