I actually think the 3D court is pretty sick... If you watch on TV, it looks like players can run into the sign lol.

Seems like a desperate move for attention to me. They couldn't get media coverage by playing good, so they painted on some triangular logos and called it 3d technology to get views.

We've had it in cricket, soccer and australian rules football at times for years now. Looks really, really bad in a basketball game. Takes attention away from the play. It isn't so bad in other sports imo as it's on a larger field and the play tends to move quicker so you don't notice it until a stopped camera angle.

They do it in baseball backstops but at least it's not 3d.

I think it's ugly as ****. I only like baseline text that spans across most of the baseline, not just some little box that looks weird when you're up close. What is the point of making the fans think there is a 3D logo on the baseline? They don't care. Nobody cares. Toronto reaching for anything to make the news.
