This. Also, there will be people who freak point out that the Celtics ran plays for him, which they did and definitely should have. There's nothing wrong with being the clear cut best player on your team and having a competent coach realize that and have an effective playbook to utilize your talent best. People equate having plays called for them to iso-ball 2K shit which unfairly pejorates coaches writing up quality sets for their best player(s).

Lebron tanked a Finals (2011) because he didn't get enough plays run for him, to prevent Wade from winning FMVP. Fcking LOL @ him being on this list.

If you call that tanking then Kobe basically tanked his entire career shooting 45% every year and averaging 15 ppg in the finals and stuff

Weirdly worded thread. I mean, alot of these players listed had really high usage-% and had entire offenses built around their capabilities. Spurs used to go into Duncan nearly every play in his prime. When I think of players getting their points "in the flow of the game" I think of players like Shawn Marion and Marc Gasol. Not huge scorers but within the game they'll get their buckets.

Like they dont need to disrupt the offense, run plays for them, they dont need to dominate the ball or force the issue, or do anything dramatic to get their stats, it just naturally comes from playing the game?

Basically this is the opposite of statpadding

IMO Top 5 at this is:

    Scottie Pippen

    Magic Johnson

    Tim Duncan

    LeBron James

    Bill Russell
lebron is a stat paadar for sure

So making a topic to point out how great he is should be easy. Yet somehow you write something that makes it sound like you don't watch him play.
I thought of this...but I couldn't manufacture up the effort to actually care and make the point.

Larry Bird and Kelly Tripucka. Matter of fact Bird should be the spokesperson for this thread cause he was the first person that came to mind.

lol Bron? Bron doesn't need to dominate the ball? When he's not allowed to dominate the ball he scores 8 points in a key NBA finals game.
