so if they unionize then they are employees right? if they are employees does that mean their scholarships get taxed?

I dont understand why fans care about this one way or another.

I know people have a blind desire to always see the "underdog" win no matter what but really this is a business negotiation between two groups and it has no impact on the people who watch the games.

actually it does, players might be more inclined to stay.

college ball only makes money for a handful of schools, and a very small handful at that.

It is the biggest misconception that these programs make tons of money for the schools. The opposite is true. They COST money. These schools take grant money, tuition money, EVERYTHING and use it to support their programs.

So every other f*cking kid who has to pay tens of thousands of dollars to get that education has to take it further in the ass if this takes off. It sucks knowing that your hard earned tuition is paying some scholarship worth tens of thousand for a dumbass that can run real fast but is barely literate. Now they wanna get paid too.

any stats to back it up? (Im genuinely interested in this)
I mean, it's not like every single college's players are going to start forming unions now, I think only the best school which have the best prospects will do so, and I can gurantee those schools make crazy money.

I actually grew up with Kain Colter. My neighbor growing up was Kenny Bell (he plays WR for Nebraska) and him and Kain were best friends and we would always hangout when we were little.

Now he is leading a college players union.

From what I've heard all schools are not doing this, only private schools are.
