Most Olympic Long Jumpers could probably dunk from the 3 point line if they wanted to try. The Long Jumpers here at IU get hung from the College 3. Seen it happen.
It's not as unfathomable as you guys would make it seem.

I'd like to think that happened without a dribbling, right?

Re: If you dunk from the 3-point line, how many points is it worth?
I don't think it's an absolutely dumb question. I was thinking about a theory similar a week ago with a few of my players. When I see players such as LeBron James and James White take off from the free throw line with room to spare (i.e. they're not scraping to the rim, they dunk comfortably) it made me ponder:
On a high school three point line (19'9''), assuming 15 feet and change is about as far as LeBron's flying at rim level, could he (or someone else who can dunk "easily" from the free throw line) possibly take off from 19'9'', soar to about within 4-5 feet of the tin and have a make-able finger roll (as opposed to the wild runners and floaters us normal folk would all have to shoot if we tried the same thing)?
I know there's a wacky clip (possibly on KBlaze's video tribute to the late 90's Lakers) where Eddie Jones takes off from the right wing, a step inside the then-shortened three point line of 22 feet and finishes with one of those "4-feet-or-so" finger rolls. It looked like a relatively tough finish, but impressive nonetheless.
The next freak of nature that comes through the high school ranks. . .I want to see him drive to the lane for three.

Re: If you dunk from the 3-point line, how many points is it worth?
if you jump behind the 3 and land inside then its a 3 still
so if you could jump from there and throw it like Dwight's Superman "dunk"
then I think it would be a 3

Such a dumb thread.
Top 5 pick in the draft? Hell, you'd probably be able to form a religion with you as the main figure.

Btw, you should retire from ISH while you are on top. You know, go out on a high note.
