Rondo is indispensable. Not only does he embody the Celtics personality in the playoffs, but he's our only point guard...
What kind of point guard do you want for guys like Bass, KG, Pierce, Terry, and Bradley?
You want one that runs the team and plays elite defense when it matters. That happens to be Rondo.
Who would you propose plays point guard if Rondo gets traded? We actually need a backup point guard as much as a backup center...what is trading our All-NBA starting point guard going to accomplish?
I was only saying to trade him if it was the right deal, obviously its not likely that there will be one it was merely for discussion. I highly doubt that he will be traded but do you seriously think that hes going to be able to beat a Miami or OKC?
Throw in Euroleague great Tomic, cash and how ever many picks you think you need to make it work. Jazz probably have 2 1sts this summer. Might be able to do something better with other teams involved. A couple teams supposedly interested in Bell. Foye and Marvin also expendable.
Boston gets 4 expiring contracts worth almost 19 million to play with next summer and get a few months to see if they can make Jefferson game work in Boston. Jazz take on Rondo and Lee's multi year deals.
