How is moving up one weight class unreasonable?
No one told him to move up to cruiserweight. If no one in his weight class wants to mix it up with him the more reasonable move would be to go up instead up trying to get Canelo to fight.

PS he's not white lol.

Yeah he's white. His dad is white and his mom was Mongoloid. Thats essentially white.

And Ward isnt black. His dad, Frank Ward, a former boxer, was a white Irishman. But I bet you consider him black, though, lol.

Anyone who knows boxing knows that moving from middleweight to supermiddleweight is the hardest jump in the sport. It's going from a compact body to the bodies of real, big men. Your punches just don't have the same impact when you move up.

It's not much of a difference to go from Supermiddleweight to light heavyweight or cruiserweight to heavyweight.

I've always made this claim. Historically, you rarely see any natural middleweights move up. BHop, Hagler, Monzon, etc all had long successful careers at that weight. Hopkins moved up at the tail end, so that really doesn't count. It really is a "prime" weight.

GGG wasn't born in America and is still learning English. He just moved to the statesa few years ago. Ward was born in Oakland.

lol what does this even mean? Both are incredible boxers. GGG hasn't even had the chance to clean out his division because everyone avoids him; he wasn't fortunate like Ward to have a super 6 tournament that forced the best in the division to fight, and even then Ward never left America to fight.

GGG isn't even a big middleweight either. The dude is like 5'10'' with a lean frame and walks around right at middleweight.

Exactly. It's how you can tell someone doesn't know boxing, when they expect a pure middleweight to fight a light heavyweight.

My point was he should move up because he can't get anyone decent in the ring with him. Guys like Cotto and Quillin didn't want to fight hin. Of he can't get in the ring with the best might as well move on up.

He's fought guys like Lemieux and Murray who would give Canelo a tough fight.

There's no one really for him to fight in super middleweight either. The division sucks now. DeGale and Jack both suck. Zurdo is still young.

Or do you propose GGG move up to light heavweight now?

Canelo fighting Leim Smith. This proves he wants no part of GGG. He vacated the middleweight belt to go down and fight the worst 154 belt holder lol.

You think Smith would beat any of the Charlo? Liam is not even the best in his family.

Yes I think it would be evenly matched. An unproven Brit versus two manufactured Haymon underlings who are both hot trash.

Nice day of boxing.
Joshua vs Breezeele on Showtime than Thurman-Porter on CBS than a NBC-SN card.
