You're looking through just the box scores? There's your first problem.

This. He won it because it was a better story. They wanted to give it to him for his intangibles on D, but for every intangible Iggy brought on D, Curry brought on O.

how? iggy was much more efficient (59% TS/117 ORTG to Curry's 59% TS/104 ORTG), was astronomically better defensively, and his +/- numbers were far better. the warriors completely dominated the series after he was inserted into the starting lineup. dude held lebron to 38% shooting when he was on him, and almost of it was with single-coverage.

When Iguodala was in, LeBron shot 38% and the Cavs were -55. When he sat, LeBron shot 44% and the Cavs were +30

Exactly, when Duncan and Garnett were anchoring their All-time great defenses in championship runs 07/08, their defensive (and total) impact was totally ignored for "better stories" of Parker and Pierce.

Therefore this FMVP has nothing to do Iggy's defense, which is nowhere near as good as KG's/Timmys anyway. Just media playing their BS games.

I wouldn't call 35/13/9 shutting someone down, but he did ruin a lot of his production.

I would call holding someone to 35% shooting in single coverage shutting him down.

Nope, there is a lot more to the game of basketball than scoring.
