[COLOR=Teal]Consider the following: Shaq never averaged 30ppg in the regular season. Came closest with 29.7ppg, and all it took to achieve that was 21.1fga and 10.4fta per game.

Am I saying that is good for the game? **** no. Howard could easily average those 31.4ppg on better efficiency than Iverson who everyone holds in such high regard when he was a selfish chucking asshole his entire career.

Shaq would've if he wanted to, just didn't care. Would've had Barkley not tossed ball at him and got him ejected.

So I guess players like Tyson Chandler, Andre Drummond, and DeAndre Jordan could all be scoring 30+ ppg then? Just what in the hell are theri coach's thinking then? Why have other players scoring 28 ppg on .450 shooting, when these guys would do it easily?

If he got enough shots he could do it. The biggest issue would be his turnovers. He would average around 8 turnovers per game if he was getting 30 per.

    are you joking me?
Dwight is great defensively but as soon as he gets a bit defensive attention he gets stripped by 5

Shaq and Robinson technically didn't even quite make those numbers (though they came close).
If a coach just designed plays for Howard all the time and didn't care about the results at the end of the game, yes it could be done. But why would any coach do that in the real world?

Yes of course. If you really don't believe Dwight can score 30 on 50% you need to start questioning your own intelligence.

Don't know, but if a team attempted to do this... Howard probably average a new record for turnover per game, total turnovers in a season, etc...

Dwight's game is extremely hindered by his poor free throw shooting. If he became a 75% shooter at the line, he'd be able to, since teams wouldn't be so quick to foul him.

His FT shooting plays a very minor role imo. It would help if he improved it, but what he really needs is to improve is his footwork, ballhandling, passing, playmaking and dealing with double teams ie qualities needed to be able to run the offense.

Right now the offense runs through Harden, and if that doesn't change Howard won't have a shot.
