Re: Wade's flagarent foul on Collison
If Smith got suspended for basically the same flagrant foul then it's only fair to at least consider suspending wade. The angles from that youtube clip doesnt unequivocally show intent on wade's part unlike that of smith's. I'd like to see another angle but from what i've seen so far it looks very suspension worthy and not much different from that of smith's. The only difference was collision took it like a man and stood right back up. Also there wasnt much retaliation and confrontation amongst the players.
....and another thing...the crowd shouldnt be chanting referee scks. The crowd in New Orleans made more sense when they cheered for Smith after he leveled blake.

he was beginning his leap, he had taken two steps and was off balance. to be exact he hadnt left the ground, I stand corrected, but he was obviously in a very vulnerable position.
Regardless its different to the Collison hit.

Wade was so focused on making a basketball play that he let the ball hit him right in the face

Yeah, Collison was blindsided. At least Griffin saw Smith coming from the side.

no...he had only taken one step before being hit, and he had the opportunity to see the hit before it happened, time to brace himself.
Collison was just minding his own $hit, trying to do his team proud by hustling on a fast break, and gets a running elbow to the back with no warning.

It was obvious roid rage from Wade. He was butthurt that he didn't get a BS call on the other end so he took it out on Collison with a malicious blind side hit. It's not much better than World Peace's elbow.
If the NBA was consistent and fair with the rules, Wade would get suspended for AT LEAST 1 game. Could you imagine if someone did this to Wade or Lebron? They'd get taken out back and shot

I want to know what would have happened if Collison had turned around and gave the ref one of these...

Do Heat fans now regret that Wade wasn't suspended?

This goes back through Wade's douchebaggery on Rip, Kobe and Rondo. The guy gets out of control because he's butthurt over legit non-calls he thinks he should be getting (or attempting to stir shit up as with Rondo), and is let off because of his superstar status.
Dwyane Wade is the posterboy for supremely talented, but immature, spoiled, whiny and entitled athletes.
In short, he's an assclown.
Any other player not named Wade or James would likely be ejected for that. Potentially even other stars. It was a straight-up body-check to take someone out, with no intent or even pretense at playing the ball.
