Re: Is there anyone that still thinks Curry isnt the greatest shooter of all time?
People need to realize how hard it is to be accurate shooting on the move versus set shots. Most great 3 pt shooters are great in set shots because they have their feet under them and are balanced. But being accurate on the move is a different animal. And you add in Curry's handles, lighting release and accuracy and you just have to admit that he was blessed with a God given gift that you can't teach. GOAT level stuff.

Also Curry is insane when he shoots set shots.

33% is amazing considering the difficulty of his looks
its technically 50% on 2's since 33% is 100 points per 50 shots
if someone like steve kerr took the type of shots kobe took he would have shot 15%
its all about context. kobe was the greatest bad shot maker of all time... by far

Kobe's been the least defended player of this era, and still only shot 44% for his career
And now you wanna argue he couldve been a 45% 3 point shooter???
kobe is the greatest difficult shot maker of all time
hate all you want.
if lebron took kobe attempts he'd be at under 20% fg's
keep protecting that fg%. too bad he cant protect his finals win%

Well....
Thats cause every shot attempt is considered 'difficult' for Kobe's standards
Hence a 44% career shooter

Kobe is the best bad shot maker ever, but Curry doesnt take bad shots.

They say he isn't as good mid range then neglect the fact that Dirk is 7 feet tall and that is the reason he can make midrange shots better. He is not a better shooter, just taller.

Truth but biased posters think Dirk taking catch and shoot jump shots over shorter defenders is a better measure of shooting skill

and if he gets 5 titles... i'l admit that it was an equally good strategy on his behalf.
but as far as i'm concerned. being able to make bad shots is needed allot of the time against tough defensive teams in the playoffs.
notice how lebron in 2014 faced a tough defense and passed it out when kawhi was on him. protecting his fg%
notice how lebron forced bad shots against a great defense in 2015. settling for bad fade's vs iggy
imagine if lebron could hit bad shots. you cant get open threes and layups all the time. teams usually figure out a gameplan after a trial and error period
lebron got figured out. only a matter of time before curry gets figured out.
this is where the player must evolve

Re: Is there anyone that still thinks Curry isnt the greatest shooter of all time?
Can we wait until he retires or is about to retire. As of now I would say yes he's the greatest 3pt shooter. Pure shooter even.

So Kobe gets credit for shooting 6/24 in the finals?

he relies too heavily on screens
if curry was in a 1 on 1 with prime iverson... who wins

1 game out of how many
lebron had an entire series in the 2015 finals in which he shot that percentage from beyond 5 feet
