He should be grateful about it because the fact that the Pacers celebrated like they already won a championship only means that they beat a "great" team. If that's the Wizards, I'm pretty sure Pacers player will go immediately to the locker room and will treat that game like it's just nothing.

If a team celebrates a win against anyone during the regular season, it's usually disrespectful, but maybe it can be taken as a form of flattery. The Pacers were likely relieved that they actually won that game against arguably the best in the league.
