Should they try to sign Magloire too?

Why do they need Magloire? They already have a younger and better version of him in Al Jefferson.

We also have Kendrick Perkins coming back healthy this year, who I think is better comparison to Magloire than Jefferson is.

This would push Pierce to SG and Marion to SF. I know they can play those positions, but is that really where they're most effective? I guess I don't know if this really makes the celtics a ton better...I seem to have soured on Marion for no particular reason.

Yes...both have played there and were successful.

Danny Ainge is a good drafter, but he really doesn't know how to build a team.

They will draft Noah. They love his style and he fits in. They get Green and froncourt depth and another decent backup point guard! Suns win this deal easy

If Marion can play PF at certain times in the West then he can definitely play more PF in the East. Think about the starting PFs in the East for a minute......not exactly big, strong low-post beasts.

This is pretty decent trade for both teams.
Boston gets a talented vetern to keep Paul happy; Phoenix gets get great pick in a loaded draft and defuses some of the chemistry problems they are suffering.

LMAO @ this being a steal.

I'll f*cking pass on trading Green. Marion? Christ sake, the most overrated player in the league who doesn't complement Pierce at all?

MAYBE I would trade the pick and Ratliff, but adding insult is just awful.

There is no reason for the Celtics to do this trade.

Does it make them a contender? No.

Does it hinder their future? Yes.

Why the hell do you do this?

Could Bassy learn from Nash?

Could Theo anchor the middle on defense for stretches off the bench?

Could Gerald Green back door his way to a ton of highlights?

Is the number five pick ready to step in straight away?

all the above HAVE TO be likely for this deal to go down...what I am afraid of is that Danny Ainge finally found a new GM he can punk.

Last week it was Marion plus for KG, now a lot of question marks...yikes.
