Well, every team wants the Black Mamba, but that is not realistic to say the least.

I wasn't saying trade for Kobe, that'll never happen.

Bogut can't play PF...the Lakers need a backup? Trading Dwight would have made more sense (assuming all were healthy and blah blah). Gasol and Bogut sound a great combination. And Howard would save David Lee's ass.

But Gasol on GSW? Even prime Gasol is not the ideal fit, because of defense. He was a good defender but you don't want him to be next to David Lee.

Contrary to Magic telling me that he's never seen Bogut play, Bogut is a great defensive player and a great shot-blocker...paint and rim protector, defensive anchor.

Bogut's been recovering from injuries where he hasn't been able to get NBA ready with his practice nor his conditioning.

If you watch his games, he starts gassing just after a few possessions. His legs are slowly returning, as is his offensive rhythm and confidence but he's still not there. I wouldn't call him washed up though.

And while I'm a fan of Gasol, this trade wouldn't make sense. Klay is on his way to being a Rip Hamilton caliber player IMO. Trading a player like that along with a defensive anchor for an all star who is basically on the downside of his career would be a dumb move.
