Same here. Spurs don't win in 99 or 03 without Tim. They would have been capable in 2005, but Tim still had the edge, and that edge is necessary in a 7 game series with the Pistons. He would have won in 07 and 14 as a part of a larger team effort.

It's still hard to say with only knowing 3 guys on the damn roster but they'd clearly be a top 3-4 seed. I'd like to see how Wall and Webber work together tho because they don't seem like clearly complementary pieces. I have little doubt Wall would be able to figure it out tho. Extremely smart and seems to be a win or nothing type of leader.

C webb had ridiculously long arms

6-9 barefoot (6-10 in shoes, listed)
    7-3.5 wingspan

He had the strength, length and skill to dominate the low post. such a shame

He was like a more athletic LMA with great passing skills

Shame about his injuries, he should have been amongst the greatest of all time.

Rod Strickland was every bit as good as Wall and they still got Molly Whopped by MJs Bulls. So basically the same outcome here as well. Wall is simeltaneously both really good and overrated.

Sheed wasn't the passer Chris Webber was though. In terms of offense, I would say Sheed had arguably more energy. He definitely had the intimidation factor and possibly a defensive edge. I would say though Chris Webber was definitely a more legitimate #1 for a playoff team but Sheed was a fine #2/#3 for a championship team.
Indeed. This guy in the early 2000s was better than Duncan, Garnett, Mcydyess, Webber, Malone down in the post. His turn around was unstoppable. There was nothing you could do because of his length, but hope he missed it. While Garnett had to work on his and it was always streaky from night to night, Sheed was pure money. I usually only have good things to say about a guy as unselfish as Sheed...but frankly he was hurting the teams he was on by not demanding the ball more and taking 18+ shots a game. My only qualm about his post game was that he didn't put it on the floor enough and he had the ball handling to do so.

Possibly a defensive edge? Sheed was a MUCH better defensive player than Webber. It's a joke that this guy was never even 2nd team all defensive. He was the best one on one post defender for a good decade and was also able to anchor a defense. (Pistons only dropped from 5th in defense to 7th when Big Ben left because Sheed held it down. Didn't matter though...got snubbed again.)

What do you mean? That 3 game sweep was probably one of the toughest the Bulls dynasty played in the 1st round. Yes it was a sweep, but I am pretty sure 2 of the games came down to the final minute(s).

    Yes, because they got swept.

I agree the games were very competitive. Washington had a young, talented team all around with: Strickland, Cheney, Webber, and J. Howard.

I think it was Pippen's game winning dunk in the close out game that ruined his back, and plagued him not only for the rest of those playoffs and second three peat but the rest of his career period.
