Default Knicks a trade away from EC contenders

There isn't a team NY can't compete with after a trade.

But nah, it's not that unrealistic Knicks add a superstar thread. Knicks won't get a superstar to come over without getting good first. Knick fans want to skip that step but they're not being real. The first step needs to be putting a team out there to run the system. Otherwise the triangle, Phil, and fisher carry no weight. It's up to Phil later to squeeze gasol, Durante, levron, love, or Dragic in. They will never choose NY until there's something there to choose.

So get great trade? I can't tell you. Give yourself a chance at becoming an EC finals or better team? Easy

    Brandon knight and illyasova
    For
Tim Hardaway jr, Larkin, dalembert, thanasis (brother of Giannes)

(Phil's so good he prob gets mil 2015 2nd)

Another trade ish "says could happen" josh smith and jerebko for amare and a 1st

    Calderon/knight
    Shumpert/smith
    Carmelo
    Smith/illyasova
    Bargnani/smith

    Prigioni/cleanthony/wear/acy/Aldrich.

Championship this year. Eventually gasol, love, Dragic, lebron, Aldridge, or Durant forces their way in to make it even easier

I thought they were already a tier 1 team in the East ? How can you be tier 1 and not a EC contender already ?

But okay, repeat the same post/thread.

Kobe Henry and Hill for Stat JR and Hardaway

Lakers can go full tank mode for a bottom 5 pick. Shed 18mil in salary this year and get an asset in Hardaway.

Kobe can play with melo, and for phil and fish. Knicks get a 2nd dominant player and a okay big man.

    Calderon, Shumpert, Kobe, Melo, Hill
    bench-Prigioni, Henry, Bargnani, Dbert, Smith

Maybe they can sign Barack Obama to a contract after his presidency too.

OP is right though, add someone of the calibre of Marc Gasol or Goran Dragic and Knicks become scary. Melo still underrated.

Half the conference is a trade away. Only Philly would need a miracle to become contenders

I don't think Kobe would take Fish serious.

    Dumb thread though

The Bucks had the #48 pick with Thanasis available. They sold it. The billionaire owners sold it because they had no desire to add anyone to the team that was available at that point.

Dally? For why? To have an aging veteran playing behind Sanders, Henson and Zaza? He was on the Bucks a few years ago; he was booted from the team.

Larkin and Hardaway? Larkin looks like Peter Dinklage out there. And Hardaway can shoot almost as good as Knight but not nearly as good as Illy and does NOTHING else and is arguably the worst defender in the NBA. Knight just went for 23/13/8 on opening night. Illy was bad last year but had a PER of 20.5 and 18.3 the two years before that.

The problem is that the Knicks have no assets to get anyone. The Bucks would be happy to deal either for pennies on the dollar but NYK don't have any pennies.

ON paper knicks have always had a decent team... i think dalembert helps them cause he is not as good as amare.. i think amare is not used enough as well.. you got to give amare at least 10+ shots a night... he never knows when the ball is coming to him. HOW can you pay a guy so much and never give him the rock... Remember when the team was just amare and role players you guys(knicks) played so well even scary at times. But then you add melo and amare stops getting touches. Watch how nash would cut and amare magicly was open its his skill to get open off the ball thats amare's talent that is what got amare 100 mil contract. anyways i think with calderon back in the line up the knicks are going to be nasty and a real threat in the eastern conference. The team needs to believe and this quitting in the middle of the game is not good. You want your team to play till the end this is suppose to be an enjoyable game. With that said i hope it happens good job beating cleaveland.

Sure- good comparison. 2 guys that aren't even eligible to be traded for 2 superstars and a star. Never mind the money or talent being nowhere close.

An actual realistic trade to add a few guys who fit the system and fill the holes in the roster is scary for you to think about, I know.

Larkin looks good, but he is not a fit in the triangle if you want to get the most out of him. He needs a pg oriented offense, not a 2 guard front asking him to be a spot up shooter and cutter. They say the opposite about knight right? Good player, but not a fit at pg, esp when trying to develop 2 young wing/forwards.

Illyasova is a guy that could ensure Carmelo staying at the 3 and being better late in games and late in the season due to not taking a beating to his body defending 4's.

The josh smith part of that trade? I know that wouldn't happen, but he would be a good fit in ny. I know it's prob too much to ever hope amare could be used to bring in a big time player.

Dalembert- looks good. Still a great athlete for his size. Fills a valuable role defensively. Why is he expendable? Aldrich can slide right in and fill that same role close to as good, and as a better fit offensively in the triangle

Am I wrong that Tim Hardaway jr and Larkin could both fit the bucks and what they're doing pretty well and have value?

When did gringos become a Russian attempting to write in English? God, that was tough to read.

Notice how he doesn't include his butt buddy Bargnani in any trades. Biggest bum ever.

Gringos is just about forcing the same crap every so often. Get all the Bucks players for nothing in return. Very little substance or credibility emanates from this guys post.
