I know people won't believe it, but I swear to god dunking (or having a girl watch me play ball) got me laid. I was already talking to the girl, but it was super casual. Then she came out and watched me play ball at the park one day, and that night she was all over me. She even mentioned how she loved watching me play. Until that point, I had never thought of using bball to get laid... and to be fair, I don't think it ever helped me again.

I believe it. I could never get close to dunking but I'd always invite girls down to the park just to say hi then I'd turn on the after-burners and pull some crazy moves and hit jumpers and dedicate my shots to them.

No, dunking is a skill I just don't have.
But I have blocked some shots in a way more embarrassing/attention getting way when I saw an opportunity. If you make a monster play, no matter what it is and just play it off casually as opposed to show-boating, you get way more respect from everyone watching including the other team.
I learned that when girls watch, (some, not all, mostly scrubby) guys try to score more during a possession and won't remember fundamental pump-fakes & extra passes to cutters so you can commit to a block much easier if you've tuned into their patterns.

im with bdreason on this one.
at highschool none of my friends really liked ball so i was the only one in my grade whod bring a ball to the courts and shoot during lunch or break. steadily a crowd of girls ended up just hanging around the courts with more and more coming each week. id say dunking and playing basketball is actually what made me popular in high school.

To answer the question, I'm not sure. And if they were impressed, it means they were already intrested in me. It's not hard to impress anyone in HS athletics when it pertains to dunking. So just because a female goes "Wow" when a guy pulls off a tomahawk slam, doesn't mean she's contemplating dropping her panties during halftime, or when the local gym closes at 8.
