People were lining up to give David Lee $10M a year. KRIS will get $7 or $8 for multiple years

yeah, hes always been a hard worker. Just read in the thorpe chat on espn that he worked with him last summer (though thorpe claimed his success this year is due more to him finally being given an opportunity). Always liked him, but I dont see him being more than a 4 -5 per player. But bigs always get more than their actual value. not knowing what the cba is like next year, we really have no way of knowing what he will make. But if there is a MLE, I expect some teams to offer him most or all of it.

David Lee also happened to have some offensive moves and was probably slightly overvalued by being in the up tempo Knicks. Humphries? IMO 8 million is too steep, in fact he's probably accept a contract from the Nets, since the upcoming lock would mean he'd rather have a guaranteed contract with potential 10% increases each year, than face possible hard cap and far more limited pay.

MLE or maybe a little bit more. Can't see him leaving NJ though.

5yrs $25mil, the most I would go is $30mil. A dollar more and I'm hanging up the phone.

I think any team willing to use their MLE that needs a big man would love to have him.

I think an MLE last year as about 5/33 with max raises.
Thus I think you need to slightly out do that to lock him up.

BUT... with Memphis working on an extension with Randolph and D.West blowing out his knee, he's probably the #1 PF target (assuming Nene is a C). Otherwise Glen Davis, Carl Landry, and a few others are it.

I think he's both played himself into, and the market will turn him into an overpaid player. I'm just hoping he really wants to stay in with the Nets like he says and is willing to accept a 5/35 type deal that starts at $6m

He's make the Knicks so much better it's ridiculous. If he had a little more shooting range and 1 inch more he'd literally be ideal.

David Lee doesn't have a particularly physical presence or good defense. He rebounds as well if not better and is a much better offensive player. They are not the same at all.

David was also coming off an All-star year and better offensive numbers.

Humphries is a very good defender. He's outplayed Griffin pretty much both times by holding Griffin's scoring and rebounding in check.

I'm almost glad he doesn't. It keeps him closer the basket and he generally passes up the same jumpers he used to take every chance he could.

He was playing fine before Kim kardashian and at the end of last year. His play does NOT depend on Kim at ALL.

1. Nice sample amount, basing your opinion on 1 game..? Humphries is not a very good defender, get your head out of your ass..

He's a good, active player, almost Noah-like intensity but he's not very skilled. Deal with it.
