He's just talking about on D who when he goes to help someone else, nobody drops down and picks up his man. Perkins has the same problem in OKC, lots of big men have that issue. They have to be the final line of d and help everybody else out, but the smalls don't always help them. And watching the game and even the previous series with how they struggled guarding pick and roll, he is obviously not lying.

Haven't you learned, it doesn't matter what he meant, it'll be taken out out of context and played over and over throughout the media. And if you ask me that is a good thing. He might not have meant it that way but the Lakers need something from someone to evoke some kind of emotion. Hopefully his next move is to bitchslap Pau Gasol.

That's what I thought too, hopefully it's nothing beyond that. Kobe actually said the same thing when he was asked about this as well.

What makes you sure he was talking ONLY about defensive trust ???
I think he meant that teammates feel they cannot trust Artest to not knee them in the balls when attempting a clothesline:
