Never.
Lin has been great for the offense and he's an underrated defender.

It could mean Lin will be used as a spark off the bench. Not like the lakers are deep.

I think this has more to do with the makeup of the team. I think he wants Lin to run the second unit.

Will Bynum is out there but the Lakers will probably ignore him. Why? Because it makes too much sense.

It's been rumored that the Lakers have shown interest in him.

I just want to see Lin have a good season. Don't really care if he's on the bench or starting, as long as he gets ~30minutes per game.

Good college starter
Re: Lakers starting point guard...
There's no way Lin isn't the starter. This isn't the case of the Lakers having enough firepower and Lin pushing the 2nd team.
Lin is going to start and his usage and minutes are going to be very high. Lakers' offence is so stagnant without him in the game...and Kobe can't play huge minutes like he used to.

I wouldn't be entirely against this if true. If Price starts, he adds excellent perimeter D, something the Lakers have lacked in recent years.
It would allow Lin to lead the second unit and pretty much feast on role players and let him work with both Davis and Randle.
I'm cool with either scenario

clarkson will be a revelation for the Lakers. i dont think Lin has it for sure, Clarkson has some good tools to be a prototypical Byron pg

This. One of Lin's best strengths is that he gives random scrubs life. During Linsanity, he was feeding Jared Jeffries for dunks. The same Jared Jeffries who couldn't even make the rotation on one of the WOAT benches, 2013 Blazers. Didn't get resigned.
Same with Billy Walker. Lin made him look serviceable. As you consider this, also consider the question "Who the fuxk is Billy Walker"
Steve Novak and Greg Smith are two other players who look pretty damn good with Lin at the point, but otherwise their careers have been garbage. Plus Lin has been looking like he plays well with Ed Davis, so he could do work with the bench unit. He should definitely finish games though.
