Default Players you wanted to be successful so badly...

but bad circumstances, IQ, etc. were too big of obstacles to overcome. Who were some of these players to you?

T-Mac and Allen Iverson. I really wanted to see these two win a ring.

McGrady because he was on the Rockets and was one my favorite players. AI because he was one of those guys I grew up watching and idolizing.

Greg Oden. I'm rarely hyped for up and coming players, but I felt Oden could have been really special. I thought he would have been the guy who brought the low post big man back. And it seemed he had everything you'd want from a center. Size, strength, defensive ability, raw but promising offensive ability.

And he wasn't just hype. Even in limited minutes, he had a 23 PER as a sophomore. He was nearly 80% free throw shooter, and had insane rebounding and shotblocking ability.

No offense to guys like Demarcus Cousins and Drummond, but I felt Oden would have been a generational player once he had his bearings. A young Patrick Ewing with better rebounding ability.

    Ben McLemore: Still time here
Derrick Williams: Hmm, maybe just everyone on the Kings

I really, really hope I'm not posting Giannis Antetokounpo in this thread in 5-7 years, or Thon Maker in 10-12

LeBron James. Would be the undisputed GOAT if it weren't for unlucky circumstances.
