Gobert grinded overseas before coming to Utah in 2013, then spent time in the NBA Development League before breaking through these last two seasons to make the NBA All-Defensive First Team twice and ultimately winning Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.
2 seasons? Going on 4 years now.

Those early-season ups and downs have even made the Jazz, who many presumed would be a staunch force in the West this year, difficult to define. Will they still become the elite team they appeared capable of turning into? Or have they been dramatically over-hyped?
Only so good they can be with Favors, Rubio and Exum
[QUOTE]Sure, they had a lot of turnover in their role and bench players, but as long as Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum are leading this team along with underrated head coach Terry Stotts, I

On the flip side, Gordon Hayward struggled in his return to Salt Lake for the most part as he continues to work his way back to his former explosiveness and athleticism. He logged 25 minutes, the fewest of any Celtics starter, and finished with 13 points on inefficient clips of 3-of-9 from the field and 1-of-5 from deep. He did dish out seven assists, though, which were an encouraging sign for him of his playmaking ability with his new teammates.
Not surprised to hear Boston fans say Hayward sucks but for someone that watched him play at his best to think he struggled? His shot was off. He looked mostly the same to me otherwise though.

The addition of Saric and Covington should be positive for the Timberwolves as well. Both are hard-working players that excel in their respective roles and should be nice pieces for Minnesota. Both can space the floor effectively, and Covington should help Minnesota have a solid defensive option on the perimeter. Not only that, but Minnesota has long struggled with depth, and adding both those players could remedy that situation.
Might be deeper than the deepest team in the league the Jazz.
