Point guards are being ridiculous this year
Did they make the rim wider or something? I know people always say we're in a "PG era" but this year I think it's especially true.
You've got:
PGs who are putting up the best PER's since pre-injury CP:
Curry
Paul
PGs who are the best player in the eastern conference so far:
Lowry
The future of the position playing lights out:
Lillard
Irving
Wall
Other PG's who are playing at a ridiculous level
Teague
Isaiah
Lawson
And Westbrook has looked really good in his limited games.
It seems like all of these guys are playing at the top of their games this season or in Paul's case the 5-year top.

Induuubitably
Re: Point guards are being ridiculous this year
The league really is laden with quality players at the point right now. Such a cluster of talent in one position is probably the reason why a guy like Rondo is so difficult to trade. It seems that almost every team has that position occupied.

Good college starter
Re: Point guards are being ridiculous this year
Paul is on some next-level-efficiency-sh:t.
53%/43%/88% shooting with a 6.2/1 Asst/TO ratio

Don't forget Parker shooting incredibly efficient from beyond the arch (.68% on 1.5 attempts a game), leading the league. It'll probably balance out over the course of the season, but still

Years ago the league was filled with SG's and SF's and the PG spot was lacking.

Seriously, he hasn't shot close to this well in years (might be his best shooting splits if he somehow kept this up). I think he started out hot last year too. I saw a graphic last week saying from right elbow to 3pt line he was making like 82% of his jumpers. Literally shot much better from mid range than from restricted area.

It's like the 80's with small forwards, where pretty much every team had a 16+ppg small forward.

Flat Earth Era
Re: Point guards are being ridiculous this year
Been like that for a few years. And Lillard/Wall/Irving are not only the gaurds of the future... They are the gaurds of right now. I expect them all on the allstar team and in the playoffs

Conley, Parker, and Dragic are in there as well, Rose still isn't himself though. Lou Williams is also a sleeper X-factor as of late. PG position is ****ing stacked atm
