Default Kobe... is he in denial?

Shooting bad is one thing... no problem... but to keep chucking them anyways? alot? despite missing most of those maaaany shots?
To keep chucking those same crazy tough shots up despite knowing he cant make them at an efficient rate or even at his career average 45% fg rate... makes me think he is refusing to believe he is not equally good anymore? maybe he does accept it.... but doesnt give a damn?

like he really expects them to fall or something?

    Last 8 games...

    5 of 18 - 28% FG
    9 of 23 - 39% FG
    11 of 29 - 37% FG
    11 of 24 - 45% FG
    10 of 26 - 38% FG
    6 of 16 - 37% FG
    7 of 23 - 30% FG
    9 of 21 - 42% FG

    68 of 180 = 37% FG

I dont even think he has ever shot that bad in his entire career 8 games in a row.... so its bad even by his standards...

Should he just calm down with forcing his shots? Should he try facilitate instead.... or does he have to much "pride" for that?

Maybe he is just at a mindset of something like: "We cant win championship, my team aint doing so extremly good... im old... what do i have to lose? Might aswell get up as many points as possible no matter how ugly it is and climb that all time points ladder as much as possible.. before i retire"

Kobe sucks without triangle offense carrying him

He's just had a rough stretch as of late, he's still their best and most important player. He needs to shoot a lot because of the team's lack of offensive threats; it's essentially a three man team. Gasol's inconsistency compounds the Lakers' problems and forces Bryant to score more.

Well today he was 4-8 in the 2nd half. Last game vs Raps he was brilliant in the final min.

Certainly having a bad stretch tho but I think he'll get it back

I don't know but we should probably make more threads about it.

Going 1 by 1 actually its really not even a bad 8 game stretch, its just a bit of a rough below average patch.

    5 of 18 - 28% FG - not a lot of shots AT ALL. 4-8 in 2nd half.
9 of 23 - 39% FG - this is prob around how many shots he needs to shot. GW
11 of 29 - 37% FG - too many shots too many misses, shit game
    11 of 24 - 45% FG - good shot amount good %
    10 of 26 - 38% FG - poor game
6 of 16 - 37% FG - not enough shots , poor shooting but not jacking
7 of 23 - 30% FG - too many shot attempts for shooting poorly that night but not that crazy, still good amount of attempts
9 of 21 - 42% FG - 21 shots is great imo. below avg % but not that bad

Certainly not cause for this thread being posted. About weird thing, I agree so much. He's just insane and its so fun to watch because of it. guy could miss 100 times and stab u for not sharing his 100% confidence of him making the next one

I'm a bit of a Kobe fan, and I usually wouldnt take your posts seriously, but this is probably half true. It could be the triangle offense, but it certainly did not "carry him".

I've stopped fearing Kobe as a scorer for the past two seasons now and in the past two seasons there was a better scorer than him.

Kobe was the best scorer in the league from like '03 to '10 though which is an amazing feature/accomplishment.

Kobe is still probably going to win the scoring title though.
