It's not like chicago is winning anything anytime soon

Lakers chasin' wing players can mean one thing...they're drafting Okafor on draft day.

Shoddy source. He was on ESPN the other day, and said he wanted to stay a Bull.

Would be interesting if LA got Monroe and Butler though.

Otherwise the Bulls will match everything. Keep dreaming.
    actually yes you can

you might want to be the one who goes and learns something about the cap

the Lakers are under the cap they can do all sorts of fun things with the contract they offer butler

see Houston's offer to Lin that took him away from the Knicks

The principal terms of an offer sheet consist of the following. Any other terms of an offer are not considered to be principal terms, and the player's original team is not required to match:

The number of years, including option years

    The base salary

The amount of any signing bonus or deferred compensation, including the payment schedule

Certain bonuses -- those considered to be "likely" for both teams and those based on generally recognized league honors6

Any allowable amendments such as guarantees, options and trade bonuses
the bolded is about how the contract is paid, things like front or backloading a contract so the player gets more at the start of the contract or a big ballon payment at the end

the second bolded is things like no trade clauses or trade compensation payments that would make the contract hard to move
