I think after all the anticipation of whether he was going to be traded or not the last 3-4 years caused him to just want to end it all. Even after Dwight left, he was our only big man and there was still discussion of trading him.

The truth is he is not going to be the same prime Gasol, and the even more honest truth is that he was not for the past two seasons, when we still could have reportedly traded him for Kevin Love. We waited too long until his value lowered enough. Now we don't have Love OR Gasol. Bad move to lower his morale the past few seasons and then not do a thing about it.

Because I like to think optimistically, a starting team that has Jordan Hill and Julius Randle is going to be some rebounding monstrous two headed monster. Not so much low post offense (all dependent on Randle), but that should be the least concern when we want to talk about hustle.
