Considering that all these teams also won chips in conjunction with their regular season dominance ... It seems very fair. Of course the playoffs are always more difficult to dominate given the level of competition.

In 2008 playoffs; Boston Celtics were nearly eliminated by Atlanta Hawks in the 1st round. They played 2 game 7s against Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers ffs. How can that be mentioned among the word of dominance?

I am sugar coating but you're relying on "nearly" for your argument. Mother have been the best basketball teams of the past 16 seasons. Losing games in the playoffs to quality opponents or being challenged doesn't negate dominance. Winning mid 60 and up games is a very dominant team.

I'd roll with Boston in 2008 first. 3 HOFers in their primes, best defense of the group, and were unique in that they played down (or up) to their competition. GREAT squad.

SA in 2014 would be second on my list, followed by the 2000 Lakers, 2009 Lakers, 2015 Warriors, and 2013 Heat.

sidenote: they weren't a 60 win team in the regular-season, but the 2001 Lakers were better than ALL teams mentioned here.

The Celtics were dominant in the regular season. They were dominant in the finals, but they were not dominant in the playoffs. If your expectation is to have both (rs+po) at the same time, the Celtics can not be mentioned. That great "defensive" side allowed 100+ points 7 times in the 2008 playoffs while not facing a single a great offense-oriented team. Their historical stature is mostly based on reputation and 66W. Not on their playoff time level of play. Simple as that.

2001 Lakers won 56 games in the rs, and yet they are quite possibly the best of the group. Hopefully you're getting my point. Because it's looking sad.
