I have no problem what so ever with the US celebrating.
I understand where the tweet is coming from but come on.
The wrong turn for me was the Iraq War though...we should of never got in to that...never found WMD's like Bush's people said was there. If he focused on Afghanistan and finding Bin Laden we would of got him years a go IMO.

If you are a Christian you shouldn't celebrate.
Proverbs 24:17
Don't rejoice when your enemies fall; don't be happy when they stumble.
Further to that, the words of Jesus:
Luke 6:27-
"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, [28] bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

But it is, and always has. Lets deal with reality here.

Re: Chris Douglas-Roberts Comments on Osama Bin Laden
I agree. Really what is there to celebrate? Killing Bin Laden won't bring back the people who died in 9-11. Also, killing that jerk Bin Laden is not going to end terrorism.
Killing Tookie Williams, didn't magically make the Crips stop Crippin'. It's just sad that so many innocent people had to be killed to finally get Osama Bin Laden and IMO there is nothing to celebrate.

Death should never be celebrated? Never?
So if I go and kill all of your family/friends in front of your face and then leave you alive and kill everyone you care about, then I die the next day, you would not be happy that the freak that killed your family is dead?

I doubt after an incredibly tragic event he would EVER feel like celebrating anything

At least CDR is one of the few people who knows about revenge. It's bittersweet when you execute it, but if you reflect upon it afterwords, you realize that you gained nothing. If anything, Americans should be celebrating the halt to the bleeding of the US' reputation. Taking almost a decade to kill one man helps the morale of the terrorists and makes them less fearful of the US.
