Re: Embiids agent refusing to release his Medical records
People say that you should always go for the bigs, but if I were a team's GM I wont use a top 10 pick on them. A PF like Anthony Davis is fine, but definitely not big and heavy centers. Look at Andrew Bogut and Greg Oden, the era of centers is totally done and they are way too injury-prone to make any impact in NBA.

This is where having the 2nd pick in a draft with a big 3, maybe 4, becomes critical. **** Embiid, we'll take Jabari or Exum.

Re: Embiids agent refusing to release his Medical records
Article is a few days old, but the only reason to refuse to release medical records is if they're bad.
Think about it. Not releasing records has a chance of making him drop in the selections, which costs him and his agent money on the rookie deal. Why take that risk unless the records suggest something bad? If they were good you'd flaunt that shit and try get picked number one and get paid.

i'd be pissed if i were an owner (i'd still have billions, but that's beyond the point). what about on a smaller scale with a small business?
colleges can't release medical information on graduates who have mental issues who constantly saw consoling or "slower" students with ADHD who received extra time on exams and projects
and i think that's bullshit
and you think a business owner would want to know that? deadlines dont get pushed back in the real world...
Why do you immediately side with the owners and bosses?
Nobody is screwing you over, and you'd gladly take a payday if you were in their position.

Honestly, anyone who does this should be blackballed. Don't want to play for the Bucks? Go play in another league.

Well the Bucks do seem to be an unwanted destination for young players, even trash like Yi Jianlian refused to play for them. Wont be surprised if Embiid does not either, although it may as well be them hiding his severeness of injury so he wont drop too bad.

I think the assumption (his and his agents) is he will have a long career and make tons of money.
it not like the fall off in money is that big

Except the reason this works is because the other teams are looking for an advantage as well.

Obviously this isnt the case with Embiid, my only point is that a workout against no competition is meaningless for analyzing anything useful about him.
the fact that he can move and have a 2 hour workout speaks volumes.

Clyde with solid posts throughout the topic. Basically agree with all points.

I see the logic here too, this is a good point.

Does what? Can the Bucks not pick him.
No one in the goddamn draft wants to play for the Bucks.
