Even is Davis is historically great this season, it means nothing if you don't get the wins.
MVP are votes though. Wins only matters if the voters think it matters.

As I said, in this case I think they will disregard pelicans record and history if it comes down to Marc vs Davis.

Davis can only win if he reaches 50 wins.

The thing about Marc Gasol is that he might not put up the stats at the end of 82 games to win. He'll get another DPOY, but MVP? I dont think he keeps up the production.

When has an MVP ever won as the 7th or 8th seed or even as low as 50 wins? i dont see it.

Marc will win DPOY hes easily the best defender in the league. The best perimeter defender in the league is on his team too so its hard to see a case for anyone else

Marc has improved his offensive game. Hes much better shooting the basketball from midrange and curling off screens to get in the lane for easy buckets.

Marc has had 3 30pt games this season. Before this season he has only had 1 30pt game in his ENTIRE career. this is a new Marc Gasol no doubt about it

I think the worst MVP record wise in the moden era has been Michael Jordan. MaybeIverson. Dont rememer the numbers. 50 wins is cutoff I think though.

That's interesting. But Im not sure if I fully trust Marc to average over 20 this season.

His stats aren't that hard to sustain considering how talented he is, plus he is skinny and in the best shape ever.

Gasol is the current MVP and he just took it from Curry.

He wouldn't even care if he wins it, as long as they win. It's not what motivates him. That's the funny thing, people in this topic care more about it than he does.

That's why I want him to win it.

So humble and more than deserves it
