Aint no one going to get fleeced by the Lakers any more. It's a sad fact of the times boys
Nope, I don't blame the Cavs for not making the deal or a deal like that, unless Gasol was playing like he was 3 years ago and it was that Gasol, I'm not going to give up Waiters (despite rumours circulation of problems with Kyrie whether true or not), for what could be just a half year rental unless they were desperate and thought they could win a title this year so they want that last piece to get them over the line but they aren't to a degree they are a rebuilding team, that and they need a better coach, I do like the Cavs team moving forward but they would be idiots to make the deal, but financially they'd have to add in more than just Gasol for Bynum to work anyway, I don't think any deal between them will got through as I don't see either budging, the Lakers will want more assets and or something that fits in with their plan, Waiters certainly would fit in but the Cavs are not one piece away from a title unless they somehow manage to get LeBron back but I don't exactly think that's happening. Maybe if the Cavs were just looking for a half year rental and a large contract to expire but there is no way they would want an expiring contract for what they'd have to get up, Bynum straight up for Gasol would be a slight win for Cleveland but wouldn't be that bad for LA because they could cut salary but to me just cutting salary isn't that good of a move so LA would want more than just salary space or to waive Bynum's contract and I don't think Cleveland has much more they'd want or be willing to give up. Overall I don't think a deal will be made very unlikely anyway, LA will want more and Cleveland won't give up anymore.

Never know I certainly wouldn't say no one or never, the Gasol trade in hindsight doesn't look too bad now at the time it looked dreadful, now not so much, although the Lakers still won it due to 2 titles Memphis in the end didn't make out too badly with Marc. The front office did only pull off the Dwight Howard trade a year and a half ago which at the time also looked good (ironic now the Magic look like the only real winners of that trade long term anyway). Is it probable they repeat any of their blockbuster massive trades like the past nah probably not but not impossible or at least I wouldn't rule it out, I live in hope

That's for sure. I got my fingers crossed. I believe the front office has earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt at this point even if I'm cynical. The fall from NBA royalty was harsh.

Seems like the Cavs got a good deal in Lu anyway. Good on them. I love that guy and Mike Brown is going to love him too.

We're talking about blockbuster trades? Okay.

Kevin Love? No, thanks. The stat-padding won't last very long.

Okay, so now that's out of the way, I wanna say that my wish list changes all the f* time, so here's another one.

    My wish list:
    Deron Williams
    Robin Lopez
    Glen Davis
    Trevor Ariza
    Ron Artest

    1 - Deron Williams|???
2 - Kobe | Nick Young Or Xavier?
    3 - Trevor Ariza | Ron Artest
    4 - Pau Gasol | Glen Davis
    5 - Robin Lopez | Jordan Hill Or ????

At this point, I'm pretty sure Ron will take a huge paycut to play for the Lakers again if the roster was setup like this. It's up to the FO of how they would sign these guys. Why would they want to come to LA? It's the Lakers, baby.

I'm a huge fan of 'balance', huge, huge fan. I think that you'll need a little bit of everything to win it. I think you'll need a little bit of height, a little bit of quickness, a little bit of athleticism & skill. You'd have to have a team like the big 3 to have an unbalanced team & be successful at the same time.

Robin Lopez & Jordan Hill at 5 :O. If Gasol can just stop taking those post fadeaway shots, then I think we'll be good. I think he needs to realize that he needs to stop taking those just because he doesn't have it anymore, I mean, I'm not saying it's impossible to make those shots, I'm just saying that it shows on paper that he's just not really making it anymore. 85% of his FG comes from that, & only 20% of it goes down, I swear.

Why Trevor & Artest? Haha good luck figuring that out.

Why Xavier or Nick Young? Scorers. Shannon Brown was backing up Kobe for 3 years for f* sake. I'd rather have Nick Young than Xavier, though. If someone finds a way to get him [Young] play the point smoothly? I would glad to have Xavier & Young play together in this roster. The only thing Nick Young needs to stop is his half spin step back jumper, he seriously needs to cut that out. haha. Unless the Lakers are winning by a blowout, then I'm pretty sure Kobe won't torture him in his sleep.

Why Big Baby? ENERGYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! He can be a legit stretch 4. Very undersized, but I think he'll be a great fit for the Lakers in this roster.

DK & Lakers91, come at me. lol

I do think the Cavs gave up a little bit more than I expected. But this is a 28 year old who will plug a major hole in their starting 5, who by all accounts is having a career year (less the injuries)

The first rounder was kind of a lot. But they aint getting that this year. Sac is going to suck the balance of the way. The 2 second rounders are Portlands, i.e. will be late in the second round.

I do think this is a little to do with "**** the Lakers" mantra that is going around the league. Danny Gilbert was one of the guys crying about the Lakers during the "bball reasons" and that billion dollar cable deal probably didn't sit too well because the Lakers aint sharing that loot, nor should they imo

But I do have a huge bball crush on Deng, so my opinion is skewed for sure

They might have given up a bit much for Deng but I don't think it's a bad trade, I rate Deng rather highly just the one problem I have is he can disappear against the elite teams although maybe not so much stats wise just especially when he is against LeBron he can tend to look outmatched but he can at times defend him well, he's a good defender and decent offensive option they need a better coach now in my opinion, I really don't think unless you have LeBron Brown isn't taking any team really anywhere especially when he's based his team entirely around Kyrie like parting of the sea when Kyrie has the ball at times. It's a big hole indeed I agree they had to fill in at small forward, partly why I thought it could be logical in case LeBron came back would fill in quite well but Deng now does.

In terms of the league being anti Lakers, I think it's just the wheels of time moving forward, eventually teams hate the successful ones and especially if teams at times pull the wool over others eyes in trades type thing in the past or being a free agent destination small markets are far less likely to help in any way in my opinion, but it's not impossible for more big trades you cannot predict the future any team might want to rebuild have a star they want to trade who's annoyed for a total rebuild type thing etc, who knows, but it's the paranoid 21st century so naturally in sports in trades teams are more paranoid too haha. I don't like Gilbert much
