Probably both, but your situation is even worse, since you can't understand what I say: for the Heat's sake LeBron should be their second option.

WTF is your problem. I wasnt even discussing about Lebron being 1st or 2nd option. All i said was Lebron has NOTHING to do with this thread. Now hate on, i am done with you.

(hey, isn't this thread about 2nd options? )

So you mean that Wade is the current 2nd option, right?

2001 Kobe = widely viewed as the best allaround player in the league.

not sure the 2nd option is getting ESPN running spreads claiming you're the best player in the NBA..

not sure the 2nd option takes most of the shots in the post season

not sure the 2nd option is the FIRST option in the 4th quarters while the other guy doesn't have the skillset to be reliable in crunchtime.

not sure the 2nd option stays while the other guy gets traded to 6 teams.

Kobe best player in the NBA est. 2001

next

depending on this post season...Wade or Lebron could be the GQAT 2nd option eva

Kobe is the second best option... he was hitting games winners and taking over games during the shaq era...

Shaq was traded three times. He left Orlando and Cleveland as a free agent and what does that have to do with 2001? Shaq was considered untouchable in 2001, Kobe wasn't.

Shaq in 2001= Lakers leading scorer, rebounder and shot blocker in the regular season, playoffs and finals

2001 Lakers with Shaq and without Kobe: 11-3
2001 Lakers with Kobe and without Shaq: 5-3

Even if you want to make the idiotic argument that Kobe was a better player, he was not the first option, he said so and so did Phil. The team was built around Shaq and he was the primary focus of opposing defenses. The only argument that you can make is that he was a better player who sacrificed his game because he was the second option, but you'd still look like an idiot. There's no shame in being a top 2-3 player in the league.

Next.

Pippen hands down. Never questioned the pecking order and always did the little things you want from your second guy.

And he did it at such a high level. Top 6 player in 1996 and top 7 in 1992.
