James Harden wasn't MVP caliber at the time and wasn't being used to his full potential anyways.

James Harden wasn't top 5 at the time anyways, nor was he top 10. I would say more top 25.

Sure, I definitely respect that he won the finals. And yes, Harden is definitely top 5 as of now.

But the point is that LeBron beat the Thunder when Harden wasn't even a top 10 player. So you can't really give him the credit that he beat 3 of top 5, when he really only beat 2. And Westbrook was only arguably top 5.

...but they weren't top 5 then. Harden sucks in the playoffs and apart from those three no one on OKC averaged a double digit ppg in the finals.

That doesn't make it unimpressive but it's not like he beat 3 current top 5s.

For all i know James Harden was a top 5 player at the end of the 2010-11 season who was willingly taking the backseat for the betterment of the team.He literally became a top 5 player the 1st game after the 2011 finals he played.Which happened to be when he was sent to Houston a week before the 2011-12 season started.

Im not a lebron stan in anyway shape or form but this mf is so far and beyond everyone else in the league since kobe fell off it isn't even funny.

    You can't speculate that though.

Maybe he was top 5 at the time and was being held back. But again, that's pure speculation and you can't do that.

Averaging 17 points off the bench is really good, don't get me wrong.

Dirk in '11 beat 2 of the top 3 players in the finals and 3 out of the top 10.
