56 win Lakers > every 70 win team ever
15-1 in PLAYOFFs , you know the season that actually matters...
Not Mj, not Bron, not Curry. None of your super teams will ever be as dominant as the 2001 Lakers. They swept prime Duncan,Professor Pop like it was nothing. Went through the stacked blazers and Kings like toilet paper. Made peak iverson look like a child and embarassed the DPoy and sent him back to Nigeria
Never again

Prime pop didn't come around until after prime Duncan.

Re: 56 win Lakers < every 70 win team ever
I'm not an MJ hater but how did that f#cking 96 team lose TWICE in the finals to a club with ZERO top 50 players on it?? Crazy Gary and junkie Kemp?
At least Warriors had injury excuses.
Lebron dropping two to the raptors disqualifies him from anymore GOAt discussions this summer.

prime Duncan and peak Iverson didn't exactly have a lot of help. Blazers were imploding, this wasn't the 2000 Blazers. Kings had Jwil instead of Bibby so same thing, definitely not the 02 Kings.

Prime Kupcheck cancels out Prime Pop
Goes to show how GOAT of a season 16 Lakers were despite record, D Russ was still cuddling with tickle me Elmo during Laker 3 sweep

You just said every 70 win team is better than the '01 Lakers, though

The Spurs won 58 games, ranked first in defensive rating AND 6th in offensive rating.
While it's true a key player like Derek Anderson was injured for that series, the Spurs team was really good still as Antonio Daniels stepped up averaging 19 pts/game. IMO, it's not about the number of all-stars but how they played as a team, D-Rob still put in 14 pts, 11 rebs and nearly 4 assists/game.
Lakers deserves credit esp their defense as Porter, Avery Johnson, Ferry and the 32 yr old Elliot all struggled from the field.
