Oden? There's scrubs i nthe NBA who get put on Gasol soemtimes, and how often does Pau have a 25 and 15 type game? Not often.
Gasol avg 20.7ppg 9.5rpg. He is a good low post defender.
He had 21pts 11rbs 5blks vs Chicago. A top 5 rebounding team his last game.
He's been posting double doubles where he avg 20ppg and over 10rbs more than a few times.
Quote:
I don't know. I'll take a defensive specialist on the perimeter, because all successful teams have one fo those. How about..... Marcus Dove.. he gave Durant some heck this season.
Corey Brewer is a good perimeter defender. Mike would torch him. He's bigger, stronger and just better. You can find the nations top perimeter defender and he'd get 30 from Mike.
Mike avg 18ppg shooting 46%FG and 41% behind the arc. Good luck.
Al Jefferson would have 30 & 20, Pierce would drop 81.
Mofos in the NBA struggle to guard PP. How the hell would college players be able to do it? Who guards him? Durant? You're better off putting Durant on Gerald Green because Durant cant go downlow and bang with Jefferson nor can he guard Pierce on the perimeter. Durant will be asking to cover Delonte West. But Acie Law would say "No thats my man! You gotta guard Pierce!".
If the Grizzlies, or Celtics, or whoever took this game seriously, even at a regular season game type of intensity, not playoff, they would completely shut them down defensively and just TORCH them on offense. Everyone on that bench would be blasting every NCAA player you send at them.
Nearly every bench in the NBA is filled with scrubs who used to be the best players in their schools' histories, lottery picks, etc and now they have 1-15 years of NBA experience, a team of complimentary players and professional coaching/training/nutrition/etc...
I remember ready a couple years back that the college All American's from the 91-92 season beat the '92 Dream Team in a serious practice scrimmage. They even talked about it on NBC when they interviewed Allan Houston in like '99 or 2000 or something like that. Allan Houston was on that team, and he was asked in a interview how they did it and he said he didn't know. He went on to say that the '92 dream team came back and beat the sh*t out of them the rest of the times they played....So I guess that means it could happen, like 1 out of like a 100 times...
Is this deuche for real saying that Corey Brewer is better than Mike Miller?
And as for the Celtics, Pierce lights up NBA defenses all the time. You mean to tell me he's going for any less than 50 against college D? Or that a 15/11 player in Jefferson isn't going to dominate any frontline?
Please.
