Facts, KD has been the best player in the NBA for a few years now.

So what he joined the Warriors, he carried that thunder team all that he could and there was Russ to run them into ground every time. He needed to get out of that toxic situation and focus on team basketball. Russ never gave him the greenlight to be the #1 option and accepted the role that he's a lesser player than KD. Yet when KD joined the Warriors it was unanimous that he was the best player on the team and Curry comes second even though it was Curry's team.

Yeah russ averaged triple doubles 3 years, but he also managed a first round exit in those 3 years

Curry has averaged more points a game than Durant the last 3 years while playing together.

And has a much higher winning percentage

Don't get me wrong though, I think Curry has been a top 3-4 player since 2016.

Can't say "clearly" by any means given his circumstances.

Maybe he is and he's gotten a lot better as a player over the last 3 years...or he could just be thriving in literally the perfect circumstances for him as a player.

All one can say accurately about KD is that he's an all time great player...exactly how great is a tough question to answer considering almost no players in history had even close to as good of a team situation right in the heart of their primes relative to the league.
