Default Byron Scott ran Kobe into the ground

    - Kobe TOLD Scott before the season he wanted reduced minutes this season.
    - What does Scott do? Play him the most minutes of ANY PLAYER ON THE TEAM until he gets injured.

    - Any sane coach would play Kobe under 30 each game.

    - Scott later admits Kobe told him he wanted less minutes and Scott did the exact opposite.

There is one person to blame and that is BS. His lineups and rotations are another major failure.

    OR

-Kobe should have retired before the season because the Lakers aren't going anywhere with him or that contract they gave him.

kobe was playign well. he had a few bad nights, but most of his games he was doing everything he could. the lakers are in suc ha bad place, they have these random decent pieces, but they do not have a coach that knows how to properly utilize them. the lakers wll continue to suck until they get a) a younger superstar (this will not make them championship contenders) and b) a coach who knows how to use what pieces he has.

this season is good to see what potential some of the team has, for trade assets, or just so they can sign a contract elsewhere.

LAL, where players come to get a contract.

For someone that is supposedly so competitive his work ethic is like Jordan's, for someone that supposedly wants to win so badly he'll play injured, 40+ million should be easy to walk away from.

The NBA is a business just as much as it is about the game, and if Kobe was as smart as you nut huggers like to think he is, he would have turned the offer down and taken a pay cut so the Lakers had more money to spend.

I'm pretty sure his shoulder is not the first thing to go if this was the issue.

Didn't someone in the organisation say Kobe's had this injury since before the season?

Apparently you don't understand the phrase "win at all costs"

If it means you have to take less money, ESPECIALLY when you already have all the money in the world, then you do it. Example: Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan

Take your blinders off nut hugger.

just like it was D'Antoni's fault to, even though Kobe chuckled at the notion of MD being able to tell him when to come out the game?

You never mentioned anything about taking a pay cut. You suggested that he retire, so where does "winning at all costs" come into play? Dumb f*ck.

Yeah, Kobe should have retired before the season or during this season once he realized he wasn't able to contribute and had to "rest" every other game.

Read the original post I quoted and you'll see I DID talk about him taking a pay cut. Kobe received that contract offer before all of these injuries started to accumulate.

So YES, he should have taken a pay cut when that contract talk came up and he still should retire. Keep hugging those nuts little man.
